My name is Rene Campbell fourth child of seven born to Milton and Nola Campbell (nee Foster). I am of Dharawal heritage born on the Reserve at La Perouse. My maternal grandparents were Liza and Thomas Foster and paternal grandparents Elizabeth Campbell and Don Budge.

I attended La Perouse Public School and then Matraville High School.

I grew up on the Reserve at La Perouse and had many good times with my family, extended family and friends. We used to attend dances at the “Blue Hall”, Sunday school and Christian fellowship at the church and looked forward to the ‘Camp Kids’ visiting every year from country areas all over NSW.
