About This Project

This online project was developed to share the stories of women on Dharawal country from the the La Perouse Aboriginal community. All the videos, images and stories on this website have been generously donated to the La Perouse Local Aboriginal Land Council, and cannot be copied or repurposed without permission.

The La Perouse Local Aboriginal Land Council see this website as the beginning of a larger storytelling project, where our women can share, listen and record important stories from the community. For more information or to share your story, email admin@laperouse.org.au.

 The ‘Dharawal Women’ website was developed in collaboration with the La Perouse Local Aboriginal Land Council, the Gujaga Foundation, Lightwell, Hazelhurst Regional Gallery and Arts Centre, the National Museum of Australia and many incredible Dharawal women from the La Perouse Aboriginal community.
