Shallan Foster

Shallan Foster is from the La Perouse Aboriginal Community situated on the northern arm of Botany Bay where she resides with her family on the former La Perouse Aboriginal Reserve. Shallan belongs to the Dharawal people of Coastal Sydney, Illawarra and Shoalhaven River and comes from a long line of Dharawal women from Kate Sims, Elizabeth Matthews, Minnie Broughton, Emma Timbery, Mary Lyons, Mary-Jane Walker, Susan Edwards and Esther Walker.

Shallan has contributed for over 15 years to the positive developments of her community, where she has shown leadership skills like her grandmother, Linda Longbottom (Simms) and other strong Aboriginal women within her family tree. Shallan enjoys travelling, camping and playing cards.
